Not at all, nor the Irish, but the English do seem to be the essential catalyst here... Something to do with being between worlds, perhaps.

Might be worth mentioning that the west of England produces more comics. Lancashire has tons*, while enormous Yorkshire to our east struggles to produce any! ;)


*Stan Laurel, George Formby, Eric Morecambe, Steve Coogan, Ken Dodd, Victoria Wood, Peter Kay, Johnnie Vegas, Bernard Manning, Dave Spikey, Lily Savage, ... :thumb001: I can't think of a single Yorkshire one!
