How can it possible there is talk of a hung parliament with all that is going on around us, apparently they are now suggesting that labour is closing the gap in the opinion polls to 6 points. With all the damage done in their term, across the entire spectrum!. In the last three days we had these murders, those that have been reported so far.

I'm surprised they bother reporting them, given that there are more important subjects at hand, such as 16 million veiwing 'Eastenders'.

Seriously, I cant believe that the next election will result in a hung Parliament.

It may, because a far few of the traditional conservative voters have been pushed further right, and will not be voting conservative at this election, I certainly know this has happened in my family, they were all part of the party once, but now they vote UKIP or BNP.

There is a real chance it might happen, as has been said, more and more voters are abandoning the traditional three parties and voting for smaller parties. The small parties and independents are making huge headways in previously safe seats with more and more coalition councils springing up. If the election is hung a coalition government would be even more disastrous then it is now.

I vote for the bnp, I make no bones about it, even though I dont see them as fit for government at present. At heart I am for English independence, but the bnp are currently the only option for the survival of us on the island. I just cant understand how the labour vote is holding up with all that they have done.

Schools are churning out the unemployable

The latest unemployment figures are a shocker. Eight million adults are “economically inactive”. That means one in five people of working age does not have a job. A new and expanding group, poignantly described as “discouraged” workers, have even given up looking.
They are right to be discouraged but wrong that there is no work. A report out on Friday points out that a fifth of firms and a quarter of employers in the state sector are still hiring — despite the recession. Except they are taking on migrant workers — not our home-grown “discouraged” variety.

You try finding a job, have a look at the part time figures too, they have shot up many people are underemployed because they have had to settle for part time work as there are no full time positions available.

Maybe there won't be a hung parliament now that Brown has been accused of bullying his staff? :)

Also most of these available part time jobs are in the big cities, in the rest of the country times are very hard. Think of Corus in Middlesborough, with that gone, its the heart of the place ripped out, no possible prospects for the newly unemployed.

Maybe there won't be a hung parliament now that Brown has been accused of bullying his staff?

Of course:rolleyes:, still, I cannot bring myself to believe the polling results.

From what I've seen of David Cameron, he isn't offering that much of a clear positive alternative

This reminds me of Germany in the early 30's. 1 in 5 were unemployed.... ofc we don't have hyperinflation and people dieing on the streets.... yes people are much richer, but swap that for large parts of the white working and middle classes abandoning the tory party and potentially a Labour/coalition government.. one things for sure, we are going to see big change in the next few years....

I think that there is something attractive about Cameron though. I cannot put my finger on it, but a lot of people I have talked with, from outside of my everyday community, seem quite fond of him.

Regardless of his policies. He's not Labour so he's sound as far as they care.

we don't have hyperinflation

Just wait until all those printed dollars slip in to the economy.
