Tintin Cover Art to Go on Sale for Nearly $3 Million at Brussels Fair

Hergé's original art for "Tintin et L'etoile Mysterieuse" (Tintin And The Shooting Star) will be on sale for €2.5 million at the Brussels Antiques and Fine Art Fair (BRAFA).
An original cover illustration of Tintin by famed Belgian cartoonist Georges Rémi (better known by his pen name Hergé) will go on sale next week for €2.5 million ($2,854,250.00) at the Brussels Antiques and Art Fair (BRAFA), reports the AFP.
Titled Shooting Star, the work provided the cover art for the 1942 "Tintin et L'etoile Mysterieuse" (Tintin and the Shooting Star), the tenth volume in the series the Adventures of Tintin. The drawing features the image of Tintin with his dog Snowy looking at a giant mushroom while standing on a meteorite that fell in the ocean.
