Are any of our members on the lists of the various confraternities out there? Lifted from Wikipedia, "A confraternity is normally a Roman Catholic or Orthodox organization of lay people created for the purpose of promoting special works of Christian charity or piety, and approved by the Church hierarchy." I've recently put my name down for the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, and will be officially marked down on July 16th, the Feast of Our Lady of Mt Carmel. It is asked of me to pray all fifteen Mysteries of the Holy Rosary once a week and as a community we all share in the works of the other members, their works of penance, their prayers etc.
Of course there are other confraternities out there, such as the Archconfraternity of the Cord of St. Joseph. In fact, it would be impossible to list them all.
So, anyone?
