Which or what watches do you wear? I think I've got too many (about 10) :embarrassed

I treated myself to one of these after my father died - went on a comfort buying binge :p

Most of the others are cheapies though

Managed to find a Calvin Klein bargain - this one cost me £20! :thumb001:

Kismet! I love watches too and just yesterday Number One Son and I (after seeing the dentist) found this cute watch shop called Watch It! (:P) and browsed for a bit. I fell in love with this Danish one, a Skagen, and Number One Son had his eye on a Nixon.

I tried on the ladies one from this set:

And Number One Son tried on what looked like this but without the red seconds bit on the face. I can't seem to find a pic of the actual one he tried on right now:

Love watches, I would like to add a few more to the collection, but I don't have the income to afford them. I still like this watch below, but I'd never pay $250,000 for it.

I actually haven't had a watch for years, ever since a watch I inherited from my grandpa stopped working (your bog-standard Citizen (http://www.slashgear.com/gallery/data_files/2/7/8/CitizenWatch.jpg)). After all every mobile shows the time these days.

However I'll be getting this soon:

It's exactly how I like a watch to be, it's plain and functional (as military gear typically is), as well as classy in its own way, without being flashy and ostentatious.

By the way, just in case any of you guys are wondering. The reason why clocks photographed have their hands at 10 past 10, or 10 minute to 2 is to frame the name of the watch company in the photograph(does not obstruct the name) have a look at the photos in this thread to see what I mean.

I've been a fan of watches since I was a kid. :)

Here's mine:

I've found my ideal watch: The Nomos Glashütte Orion anthrazit (http://www.glashuette.com/index.php?id=61&L=1).

http://www.glashuette.com/uploads/pics/D_332_OrionAnthraz_FRONT.jpg

And at 1,060€ it's actually within a regular person's reach.

I know watches can cost anything, but if this thing really is as good as it looks and reads, I wouldn't want anything else even if I could afford it.

Maybe in Finland. :D

Well, I meant with some saving. I'm not saying most people can just waltz into a jeweler's store and buy it on a whim.

Indeed. Though going by Finland's economic data, your standard of living is really high compared to one we have in Croatia. F.e. with some saving you can afford a watch that costs 1000€, while I can afford one that costs 150€. :)

I don't wear watches on my wrist, but I do have a vintage watch necklace from the 1960s. Kind of similar to this, but in silver

And now for a watch no-one, not even astronauts, polar explorers, fighter jets pilots or deep-sea divers, should wear: The Casio G-Shock Frogman. You'll have to fork over more than a thousand dollars just for the privilege of looking like a douche:

My latest addition to my selection was a Tag Heuer Automatic Aquaracer (Mom got if for my 19th BDay, although it's only gonna be in May, she gave me the watch already).

I also got a ton of other watches, which I already mentioned on another thread, which are:
-Rolex Submariner, no date, black dial;
-Gold 1940s Omega;
-1960s Fero Feldmann;
-Tissot PRC 200 Automatic Chronograph;
-Tissot PR 100 Automatic;
-Swatch Midday Sun;
-Pocket 1928 Gold Omega;
-Pocket 1960s Mirvaine.

Furthermore, I am planning to buy a Sinn 657 Flieger ASAP. I am somewhat of a Watch freak.

This is my watch, it has been my companion for 12 years.
