Well after spending ages looking at tents on the internet I thought I would see if anyone had any advice!
I'm after a tent for wild camping that will fit two and gear, for about £100 best option so far seems to be the Vango Banshee 300 anybody got any comments or suggestions???
I like bivouacs, if you're sleeping with a significant other it means you're forced to snuggle. :) Easy to set up, very light, and I could fit my bag near my feet while sleeping.
hehe I use a cheap military pup tent, GI pup tent (http://store.colemans.com/cart/us-military-pup-tent-2-half-shelter-systems-used-p-2179.html). I can roll the two sides seperate and lash them to my backpack. I leave stakes and poles behind, using trees and sticks lightens your gear. You're probably looking for something a bit nicer though, so check this out:
US GI Catoma Stealth Tent (http://store.colemans.com/cart/tent-us-gi-catoma«-stealth-i-combat-shelter-p-2016.html)
I'll probably end up getting this some day. I've found that most outdoors gear designed for casual backpackers is garbage, always go military issue :thumb001:

Ugh, I have to carry these things around and they're way too heavy and cumbersome for general camping. I've always been a big fan of Coleman tents.
They aint that bad :p I just have a mountain pack, strap them on the bottom, sleeping bag up top. But then again you have to carry a lot more other stuff than I do, so I can see why they'd be a bit much. I only take both sides during the winter though, half the rest of the year.
