Would it not be an idea to organise young people with patriotic ideas into a national youth movement in order to prevent them from ending up with either Nazi idiots or as dumbed down consumers ?
A youth movement could be modelled along the organisatory lines of the boy scouts, the Hitler Youth (perfect organisation as far as the organisation was concerned !) or the Free German Youth (of the GDR).
And how could such an organisation be build up ? And no.. don't come with: "can't be done" but come instead that is useful: ideas.

The best way to go around doing something like this would be to build a youth league around some already worthy cause, organisation or political party, methinks.

So that would mean creating a genuine nationalistic party and thus we first need an ideology.

I like this idea very much, it could only work for European nations though. Anywhere else, I don't think so.

I'm really surprised this group (http://www.westernyouth.org/) hasn't gotten more play on the Apricity:

i think an elite and exquisitely uniformed nationalistic party could win the hearts of the people where others have failed
what we'd need is:
1. enviable aesthetic. (If it looks 'cool', the mainstream will eventually accept it... )
2. to make sure that we do not tolerate thugs or excessive racial slurs
3. to always be polite, eloquent, even to those who are the enemies of their movement
4.Strong female presence (lends respectability)
4.Strong female presence (lends respectability)
Don't take the piss, now. ;)

We could get Galliano to design them, Mel Gibson to model them, and Lars Von Trier to film the broadcasts
...although Mel might fail on the polite and eloquent... and excessive slurs... and female... elements of this list :(

The Urdd (http://www.urdd.org/) is now underway and is Europe's largest youth arts festival. Everything is presented through the medium of Welsh and even though it's an arts festival, it's seen as a breeding ground for national fervour and cultural awareness.

The scouting did learned me how to proper handle a flag and the national anthem. So they already have some good potential in that way. If we want to form a more nationalistic minded youth group, the best is to see what we can learn from other successful youth groups and what makes them successful.

That's an excellent group. They've recently weathered an attack by the ADL, have worked with nationalist groups in Europe, and are holding their first national conference next month June 15-17 if anyone is interested in going.

Many modern European nationalist youth movements are active in academia, which is very promising. Nationalist ideas need more intellectual outlets and propagators as well. It cannot only be seen as the refuge of the vulgar and the uneducated. Young, intellectual, radical; these are the three qualities that make a winning combination. ;)
Some existing European nationalist youth movements, that I find are doing many things right:
Nordisk Ungdom (Sweden). They also have a student organization and they have been introducing a modern European nationalism in Sweden, seemingly with success. It is clear that their intention is to transform the nationalist scene from one dominated by boneheads to a subculture with wider appeal.
Nationalistische Studentenvereniging (NSV!, Beligum, Flemish). Founded already in the 1970's, NSV! is a nationalist student organization.
Blocco Studentesco - an Italian student organization associated with CASA POVND.
In Finland we have Suomen Sisu, but they are quite inactive, despite having a fair number of members.
