It's just a poll to see how many users have the famous Greek foot, how many the Roman foot and how many the Egyptian foot.

http://weknowmemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/which-foot-type-are-you-egyptian-roman-greek.jpg

EGYPTIAN FOOT: the toe is longer than the second finger
ROMAN FOOT: the toe is as long as the second finger
GREEK FOOT: the second finger is longer than the toe.

I have a Roman foot.

I have the Greek foot. It is also called Morton's toe. It can (and does in my case) lead to problems with arthritis in the joint of the first toe.

This is like Celtic Vs Anglo-Saxon foot! With the Celtic foot its meant to look like the Roman one and with the Anglo-Saxon foot its meant to look like the Egyptian one.

These are all in fact something called Morton's toe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morton%27s_toe), it seems to occur quite randomly in Caucasian ethnic groups but is associated with particular ones.

Oh, and I have the Roman or Celtic foot.

The differences are probably local adaptations to certain landscapes. I can't really see Celts being linked to Romans and Greeks unless its Med influence or something and god-only-knows about the Egyptians.
Its probably local ethnic adaptations.

It seems, and I repeat it seems that many celtic terms are similar to the latin of the origins (exmp. Inys - Insulae (island), caer-castrum (citadel)).

Now, I don't know if this is due to the influence that Latin has had on the celtic of the british isles, or vice versa that the padanian celtic has had on the proto-latin, but from this and some other factors (roman division in "Gens", like the celtic "clan", for example) has recently been hypothesized relationship between the old two peoples.

They were probably among the last Indo-European people that were separated each other.

Anyway, i've roman foot

Well, by linguistic and genetical studies it seems that the Celts and the Italics were pretty related and the Italics have arrived from central Europe too but probably before the Celts.
As far for the Egyptian, I ignore the origin of the denomination.

The Eastern Italic languages (Sabellic, Samnitic, etc) which have estinguished, had a lot of similarities with the Celtic. For exemple the Samnitic community/ State was called "touto" or "who" was said "pys" very similar to Irish also.

Yes, from a linguistic point of view it is said that Celtic and Italic are related through a grouping called Celto-Italic (similar to Slavo-Baltic) which formed near the Alps before the Italics migrated into Italy.
Celtic was supposedly the earliest language family to form from West European IE.
Germanic is supposed to have evolved later from the western extent of IE but in more isolation, becoming quite different from Celtic and Italic (and thus Romance).
This is based on what I've read about it.

Mine are Egyptian.

Everybody in my family that is strongly Irano-Nordid skull structure (Atlantid or Keltic-Nordid with curvo-occipital buns) have Egyptian feet. And everybody in my family that has Cro-Magnid skull/skeletal structure (Dalo-Faelid, Dinard, Noric with flat occipital buns) has Greek/Roman feet.

Also people in my family that have Greek/Roman feet have very bony knees. While people with Egyptian have knees that don't look so bony.

I wonder if there's a correlation between skeletal structure (skull shape, knee bones, rest of skeletal bones) and foot skeletal structure.

I bet there's a correlation.

Those are actually pretty nice boots. It's too bad the subculture has made jackboots so stylised, it' nearly impossible to get the old fashioned, simple variety without decorations somewhere on the boot.

Speaking of female boots, has anyone else noticed that the jackboot look, specifically tucking pants into high boots, has become a female-exclusive style of dress? When did this happen and why?

So far I've had a look through and its been Western Europeans mostly corresponding to the R1b area which have said 'Celtic / Roman'.
Most people answering 'Anglo-Saxon' or 'Egyptian' seem to be either from Central Europe (roughly from Western Germany towards Belarus somewhere) or be English or Anglo-Americans, could this perhaps correlate to I or R1a?
And most of the people claiming 'Greek' feet seem to be from the Balkans, perhaps E3b???
I've also noticed how no Finns have answered yet, I wonder how it would be with them?
R1a and I appear to be largely absent from Egypt so at least there it must have developed in isolation or have been a feature of the nobility / upper classes (perhaps early European overlords?)
Egyptian/ Anglo-Saxon feet appear to be "the norm" throughout most of Europe so maybe they're not a distinct feature after all but the default foot shape which most people have. The 'Greek' and 'Roman / Celtic' feet could be unique to the Med sub-race or mixed Meds+Nordics such as the Nord Atlantids.

i don't know if shape of foot is related with haplogroups, but it's curious that i live on the only mediterranean region where haplogroup I is predominant, and i have anglo-saxon/egyptian foot, while all other users from italy and spain, where is most common R1b haplogroup, have roman-celtic foot!

I is almost always attributed to Anglo-Saxons or Vikings in the British Isles. However I've seen it suggested that the genetic differences between England and the Celtic nations go back further, that R1a and I arrived after the Ice Age to Eastern England from across the area of the North Sea after Britain had already been colonized by people carrying R1b up the Atlantic West Coast of Europe.
So basically you could been Anglo-Saxon or I could have been here before Germanic culture even developed.

This is like Celtic Vs Anglo-Saxon foot! With the Celtic foot its meant to look like the Roman one and with the Anglo-Saxon foot its meant to look like the Egyptian one.

http://www.natmedtalk.com/general-discussions/2311-aha-i-have-celtic-toe.html

These are all in fact something called Morton's toe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morton%27s_toe), it seems to occur quite randomly in Caucasian ethnic groups but is associated with particular ones.

Yep. I have Anglo-Saxon feet:) Funny thing is, most people I know or have seen have either the Roman or Greek foot. I always thought my feet were weird.

one is greco, the other roman (celtic)

How can I vote for both? :)

Because of the paucity of written records, the scope of Celtic settlement across Europe has not been easy to establish. One feature already mentioned that is strongly associated with Celtic blood lines is red hair; a great majority of people in the world who have red hair will be found to have a Celtic ancestor. But that feature is not uniquely associated with the Celts, so the spread of Celtic people in such areas as present-day Germany and Scandinavia has not been accepted by all authorities. During World War II, a discovery was made that only recently has received meticulous research. A couple of doctors in medical centers in England noticed that there was a feature of Scots and Welsh soldiers wounded in battle that was not present with English, Germans, and other nationalities. The former frequently had a big toe (or great toe) that was the same length as the next toe; all others had great toes markedly longer. They marked that down for research after the war ended, but it was only a few years ago that definitive research was done that has led to a remarkable discovery. They found that there were burial sites across Britain where the skeletons were completely of one ethnic group, such as Celtic burial sites on islands along the Scottish northwest coast, and pre-Celtic burial sites in southern England. Results from studies of those burial sites showed that to a 95 probability Celtic remains had a big toe the same length as, or shorter than, the next toe, while pre-Celtic remains had a big toe longer than the one next to it. That study was expanded to cover burial sites in other parts of Europe and Asia, with the same results. Because the so-called Celtic toe can disappear after many generations of intermarriage, it is not a necessary condition to having a Celtic ancestor, but it is a sufficient one: if a person has the Celtic toe, he or she is almost certain to be of Celtic descent.

That discovery should allow a much better mapping of the extent of Celtic settlement across Europe. The Celtic toe has been found in abundance in southern and central Germany and across western and central Scandinavia. It has been found in present-day descendants of the Dutch Boers who settled in South Africa over a hundred years ago; the only source of that gene is from the Celtic Dutch of two thousand years ago. It could be used to map the Scottish migration route from the central Atlantic down through the Carolinas and into Georgia in the 1700s. http://www.electricscotland.com/fami...2002/celts.htm

Anglo-Saxon [I don't imagine I have anything Egyptian about me.] I have always thought of the Anglo-Saxon foot as the norm and anyfoot with an unusually long second toe as deformed. If the great toe were prehensile, the elongated second toe might be beneficial, but I can't envision what advantage it could offer as it is.
