judging from the photos it seems the English are not genetically germanic but something else. It's hard to say.

However there is a minority elite of English that look germanic. It seems to me the minority of England is the tyrant germanics that invaded the native homeland.

What do you think? is England the least Germanic. It appears to be culturally germanic, and ethnically germanic to me, because the minority tyrannical elites are germanic, but the natives don't look germanic.

About the year 1066 the population was perhaps 50% Germanic in England. Darker strains tend to predominate genetically. The United States was in 1790 75%British, today 27%. People do tend to wander.

Ah these figures are clearly misconstrued trying to show us that there is more English than the Tyrannical elite are willing to admit. no doubt trying to show the world there is most English than there actually is!

I would think it has resemblance to the language. What exists today is quite different than what was before. What can be known, of 1500 years past, might well increase along with the ongoing genetic studies.

But should you be only looking for this

or

you will indeed be a bit disappointed, and as well mislead.

English are as Germanic as any other West Germanic group. Even the North Germanic groups are subjected to non-Germanic influences.

Culturally English is the less germanic of all germanic languages .

Genetically Great Britain belong above all to the west European area ,
witch goes from Spain to Nedderland because this is the area settled
by refugees of Spain/South France after the last ice age .
This is were the R1b haplogroup is very dominant .

Germany itself is more shared between west and east .

Of course though GB have strong germanic influence ,
but less than Nedderland in all aspects .

Jokes aside, I would definitely say that stereotypically germanic/nordic looks are not common at all here in the west of England. I look nordic and everyone thinks I look Polish (figure that one out...)
