View Full Version : Over-exposed gums. Do certain ethnicities have this more than others?

When some people smile they show over-exposed gums.

I was wondering whether this is a genetic trait in some groups. I've heard that the Irish often have this.

Obviously spaniards, especially women

It's found all across the board, no ethnicity specifically can claim it as their own trait.

Last time I noticed this trait was at two women: one very blond Australian and one Erithrean. So I'd say it doesn't have much to do with ethnicity.
