View Full Version : Post something POSITIVE about your ''traditional enemies''

Queen B

...or people (country) that you dislike / neighbors / etc.

If you don't have anything positive to add, don't post at all.

This thread is made for fun and good-will, not to create another shitstorm.

For example :

Turkey :

• A very best friend I have, the last 5 years.
• Good textiles
• Sezen Aksu

Bulgaria:
• Ski resorts
• Cheap dental

We haven't been enemies in ages, though I don't think Danes have ever really been our enemies, we are all friends now but there is always a bit of friendly rivalry.

Germany is a much more recent enemy.

Albania: Well, when you force them, they are quite good workers. I bet they would do a great job in agricultural works like cotton picking and such. They are probably among the best smugglers in the world.

Bosnia: BAUSTELLE! They rotate the concrete mixer better than any other Balkan ethnicity. Good grill, but Southern Serbian grill is better.

Bulgaria: They produce good roses. lol fags.

Croatia: A lot can be seen in that country. Unfortunately, not much was built by our Croat bros. They dislike Serbian Balkanic primitiveness which is good, but love to listen to turbo-folk when they drink a little too much, which is a little hypocritical. But, our bros nevertheless.

Progressives tend to be smart, and some of them express themselves very well. Statists have balls of steel, which help them in their attempts to gain control and power. Neoconservatives express some traditional beliefs with which I agree. You know where you stand with bigots.

Hehe this is fun, though I don't generally see people as enemies. Not even the countries. I see them as neighbors, and if you think of it, 9 out of 10 times neighbors are a pain in the ass. They always make noise, wash the balcony with enormous amounts of water, wetting the clothes you've hanged to dry, dispute which part of the common spaces can be used by who, throw their cigarette buds in the back alley and even beer bottles that break and scatter into a thousand small pieces :thumb001:

Turkey :

- The best hospitality I have personally experienced, by far

- Awesome people and with very similar mentality to Greeks, and somehow less competitive and more collective. Visiting Turkey every time feels like visiting Greece in the 1980s. When the doors were unlocked, people were inviting you inside their homes and treating you something, neighbours coming in and out of each other's house, large family gatherings, very friendly atmosphere overall.

- Awesome, amazing food that you can't get enough of. Everything tastes better (because it's cooked with more butter/oil etc) ;) but it takes a toll on your figure very soon if you stay long enough :p

- Beautiful landscapes

- I love how most people who don't speak English still do their best to communicate with you with sign language and the few Turkish phrases you know :D

Bulgaria:

- Great people
- Very close to Greece and cheap for vacations

Albania

- Some very good, hardworking and conservative people
- Flintlocke
- Nice beaches in the south

Fyrom:

- Pigeon (aye...the state should make her Ambassadress;))

Ok...I'll bite.

As a West Coast Native here in the United States....I have grown up hearing and learning an awful lot of really negative things about the American Deep South. So much so, that for the longest time, I basically fell into the trap of categorically hating it. You could say I considered the Deep South as my traditional enemy, as it were.

However, until a little over a year ago, I had never been anywhere even remotely considered southern...until I finally went to Texas for a few days with hubs...we were on the outskirts of Houston.

I found the people there, both black and white, to be generally very friendly and easy to talk to:) I found myself treated to a small dose of that Southern Hospitality people like to mention when they talk of the South. Of course, the heat was fucking oppressive and reminded me a wee bit too much of why I LEFT Los Angeles County, lol

In addition, some of my friends are Southern, and great people to boot.

Thus, while I can honestly say that I won't likely be traveling back Southward anytime in the near future, I will admit that my stance has softened somewhat since the Texas Visit.

The South has its good and bad. Just like anywhere else in this country...or the rest of the world:)

It is general truth that Slavs,Arabs and Ottomans have been enemies of Hellenism for quite a long time...i just do not consider them serious ones.
An individual average Greek doesn't have to feel envy at all from those mentioned above.

The biggest enemies of Greece come from its Western boarders and not from the Eastern,Northern or Southern ones.

Here we go:

-Italy:Italians are very similar to Greeks.I think Greece due to its geographic polymorphy missed the brute force that massive population and great landscapes offer.
What else...maybe their cold and cynical approach to life. They are way less sentimental, and they must be proud to offer to humankind Nicolo Machiavelli.
Il Principe holds top class position in my personal library.
Their entrepreneurial spirit too.

-France:Look above at Italians...Napoleon(duh!) and having colonies. They are very Med-club in their attitude but when things go wrong they are deadly effective and decisive.
Their geographic safety.
Huge landscapes.
Having nuclear.

-Great Britain:Free market(they were in the past...now their are socialists too)
Largest naval power in history(second only to the US)
Being punctual.
Being gentle(even if they don't actually mean it)
Governance.
Great diplomats.
Britain above all

With Paris and London being now so close to each other by rail, I have a feeling the rest of the world doesn't count for nothing.

Polish women are very beautiful and feminine, Polish men are true gentlemen (that's what my greatgrandma, grandma and mom used to say all the time, there might have been some romantic stories involved :D). Poland is getting stronger and stronger economically and they could be one of the best allies for Lithuania if not for stupid neocons from both Lithuanian and Polish sides. They have also brought a lot of good stuff to Lithuania historically and Lithuanians silently appreciate it (I don't want to generalize, but I feel this way personally for sure)

Russia
Russians are funny, helpful and outgoing. They have a great culture, Russian intelligentsia is amazing and could not imagine better companions to drink and discuss life with. Yes, I am generalizing. Russians also do well in almost any sphere.

Greece, Armenia etc. are not my traditional enemies, so I'll not include them.

USA: lots of stuff, actually the only reason why I see it as an enemy is the deep state there which has created an imperialist monster (aka CIA, some families such as Rockefeller, hierarchy inside the state etc.) so let's say, music culture, rural culture, people being cool, movies, TV series, cartoons and animations, cowboys, many cities such as Miami, Florida, Los Angeles etc. humour culture, George Carlin, Jim Carrey :D

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait: they shit money man lol, what else I can say :D and big skyscrapers

I've been trying to think who my enemies are and I've concluded that I can honestly say I don't have any. I guess I can say my enemies are illogical and intentionally ignorant people, but they tend to be quite diverse and sometimes have a diverse set of redeemable qualities. I also would say my enemies are manipulators, but they're just trying to secure their people or themselves as individuals, I can't really tell them their natural instinct is wrong, although it's morally stretched. As for individuals, I don't believe I have individual enemies. I tend to treat people on an objective basis and don't necessarily recall previous encounters unless they're relevant to the discussion. Furthermore, I don't reduce myself to ad-hominems nor do I target an individual because of arguments.

Korea: Can't really give the North credit for this, but I do like watching my Samsung TV.

Turkey: I like 'em. They fight hard and they've got honour. Shame they're Muslims, but no one's perfect :p
