My late husband and I did this, but the bottle wasn't thrown into the sea.

The swimming pool was leaking because it wasn't of the best quality, so we had it filled with soil. Before it was completely filled up we put some of our details in a jam jar and then put it in the hole before it was filled up with soil.

We put our names and personal details in, such a birth date, place etc. In it we put a photograph of us on our wedding day. Also, we put in some money. Not a lot, but some coins and a few notes. Should it be found some time in the future so that the dates can also be verified by the coins.

Who knows. Maybe one day someone will find it.
