Could we do away with one-line flaming posts, except in the lounge. It's difficult to try and carry on a serious discusion when some individuals inject posts like this (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showpost.php?p=88611&postcount=8) or this (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showpost.php?p=88648&postcount=212) with nothing else. I'm not asking that we avoid all insults, just that they be injected with something of substance.

These weren't aimed at you were they Aemeric? :P :D Just joking. :p

This will have to wait for the bosses to decide upon obviously. I dunno, I kinda like the one-liners myself but now that we're getting bigger it might have to be rethought.

Thank you for bringing this issue up though Aemeric. It is appreciated and will be looked at. :)

Cheers!...Aemma

There are some aimed at me but for the purpose of the thread I thought I would post other examples.;)

Flaming is inevitable on forums.

However posts that do not contribute to the thread should in my opinion be kept to a minimum, if the thread is in the lounge then it is fine as it is not meant to be serious, but if the thread is intended to be highbrow then there is no need to derail it just to put in a post that says nothing, or would be better as a rep comment.

Just my opinion of course.

I don't pay attention to what is where, I just search new posts and troll surf from there!

Ulf's post was actually meaningful in that particular debate. It proved a point.

Flaming?

We have people calling each other "****face" here, whole nations put down in the most vulgar and absurd way, members rejoicing at other european nations getting bombed by NATO, female members getting called "***ing c**ts" and told about how masturbating over other members photos is cool,

and you found that "2+2=5" is flaming? :D

Looks like Absinthe got some "admirers"... ;)

Spaniard is a hardcore one... I remember him talking about "the neglibile value" of East European Mongoloid genes.

I was posting the two most recent examples when I created the thread. It was an example of what I'm talking about, Ulf ridiculing Psychonauts p.o.v with actiually debating his view point. Maybe I should had taken the time to find some nastier ones. And I didn't say cut out all insults, just the brief oneliners with no arguments.

LMAO I hadn't seen this one yet!:D

As mentioned, it's inevtiable, but it should be made some arrangements to avoid the one-liners in high brow discussion, but first, I think the ad-hominem problem should be dealt with. (Did I hear ban Hors?):p

I wasn't ridiculing Psychonaut. He sent me a rep comment about that post and then I sent one back. Ridiculing=/=Joking. Ah well, Sorry for ridiculing you Psy!
