become part of romania or russia
It has no future
Basarabia to Ro, Transnistria to Ru.
Historically Transnistria is just the very Western part of Odessa oblast by the Dnestr river which was added to Moldavian SSR by Communists. They're all Russian citizens down there aswell and Russian military base and enormous ammo depot is placed there. It's said that USA directly forbidden Ukraine and Moldova to provoke something there for now not to escalate the conflict on bigger scale. I think if something gonna threaten Moldova, Romanian forces will just enter Moldova for "protection reasons", a big story will happen which is probably not planned for this year.
Gagauzs don't want to be Romanzied or Moldovenized, I think that's the general reason. I can't say much about their region, they're indeed pro Russian.
Ukrainians in Moldova are ok with Russia and Russians, for example one month ago a Moldovan Ukrainian from Olympiakos and Moldova NT moved to Spartak Moscow, Oleg Riabchuk. You can't imagine transfers of players from Ukraine to Russia at the moment.

I didn't vote, but it's gonna be interesting to see what will happen.
According to a poll made by Institute of Public Politics, the support for EU integration is at its lowest level yet since an all time high in June of 2021, with 47% in favor of EU integration while the amount of people who prefer Eurasian Economic Union is on the rise, reaching 32%, with the rest being undecided.

The president Maia Sandu announced Moldova has to join EU by 2030. Maia Sandu remains the most trusted politicians among Moldovans, but the majority of the Moldovans (45%) don't trust any politician.
Romania seems to support Moldova's path towards EU.
I don't believe they will become a NATO member though. I don't truly believe a Ro-Md unification will exist.
It remains to be seen what will happen with Transnistria.
They will end up joining the Western block - with Ukraine.
