Which is the best burger?
As far major North American burger chains go, my favorite is Five Guys. In second place, Hardees/Carl's Jr.
Independent burger restaurants have the best burgers.
I only know McDonalds and when i go there (not often) i always ask for the same thing: double cheeseburger. So in my opinion the best burger is that one.
Other than that the best burgers i ate were on a plate, and belonged to a portuguese franchise:

Jack in the Box for convenience because it's cheap and open 24 hours. For taste Carls Jr or In n Out. Out of those choices I'd probably go with the baconator because McDonalds and Burger King are nasty.
The Hungry Jacks cheeseburger is the tastiest.
In that category baconator takes the cake.
No 'Filet O Fish'? :)
In terms of meat burgers, I cannot stand processed ones. I'd much rather have a kebab such as a chaprikh kebab. It's flat and round, with a tomato slice embedded on top... :)

Ever tasted a Bøfsandwich? (literally translates to 'beef sandwich').
It may not look like heaven, but sure as hell tastes like one! It is the best hungover food EVER -imo!
"Bøfsandwiches are typically sold from hotdog stands, traditional fastfood establishments, and in later years some traditional Danish restaurants have also started serving gourmet versions. The traditional condiments are ketchup, brown mustard, remoulade, sliced dill pickles, raw onions, grilled onions, and crispy roasted onions - the latter being a local delicacy, not often found outside of Scandinavia.
Primarily in the Jutland region of Denmark, it's customary to serve the bøfsandwich with sliced beetroots inside and brown gravy poured over the sandwich. This version is sometimes dubbed 'gravy burger' by foreigners.
Other local variants may include gherkins or pickled red cabbage."
