Do you consider them who are etnic minority inside russian federation as nordic people and as "brother" people?
Do you whish this people create their own independant state?
I assum for finish it should be a great news to have another country than russia as neighboor.
East Karelia should not become independent, it should be a part of Finland again! Most Finns were evacuated during the war but our brother people are stuck in what the Russians turned into a wasteland
Problem is that Karelians and Vepsians are minorities in their own regions. Russia will never approve of giving anything away, unless they plan to have a Karelian puppet
How is their natality? It seems they are dying people.

lol It is virtually extinct peoples. Number of Karelians in Russia ~ 60 000. Of them, those who speak Karelian - 25 000. Number of vepsians in Russia ~ 6000. Of them, those who speak Vepsian - 3600. I think that the creation of a separate republic of elves - is more realisticQuote:
