Which is the most multi-ethnic Southern European country?
Clearly, none are as multi-ethnic as are the UK, France and Germany. But between each other, I am not sure. Portugal seems to have the most second/third generation immigrants (mainly Brazilians, Cape Verdeans and Angolans), but fewer first-generation immigrants compared to Spain, Italy, Greece and even perhaps some Balkan countries, which have become major ports of entry for people from Africa and the Middle East (and in the case of Spain and to a somewhat smaller degree Italy, Latin America too). Further, many Balkan countries have large Gypsy populations, even if their immigrant populations are relatively small.
