For those that live or traveled to Romania, what is your favorite city or region in the country? I live in Oradea area and city has improved lately with new mayor.
Haven't been out of the country yet, but the Romanian city I do want to visit the most from what I've seen is, Constanta.
Kolozsvár/Cluj
Sighișoara is my favorite by far from cities I visited.
It is the best city for tourist to visit IMO and I always tell people to go there.Quote:

I was pleasantly surprised with Alba Iulia too. It's worth a short visit. They've invested in restoring the historical fortifications and were working at unearthing a Roman settlement. I stayed during the first day of the festival "Roman Apulum" which was interesting. The locals were helpful. Many Italian tourists. The streets were clean. The prices in the restaurants were decent and the food quality was good. Good wine with Târnave vineyards not far away. Anyway, that was two years ago, I don't know what changed since then.
