I prefer Iceland.
canary islands because its an african nation
A point in favor of Iceland. The Icelandic crowd taught us a lesson of direct democracy. The Canary Islands are very conservative. It's perhaps the only place of Spain where you still can find streets named after General Franco or Dictator Primo de RiverA.
It's not because a climate is arid that it has zero precipitation. Not all arid places in the world look like the Atacama desert.
I noticed you are very interested in climatic phenomenons, GiCa. But you lack experiences in the field. You should travel more often.
Neither. Canary Islands are too sub-tropical for my taste, and Iceland is too cold for my taste.
I like something more temperate, like Iberia mainland; most of Europe, except Iceland, Scandinavia and Northern Russia; Uruguay, Central Argentina and Central Chile, South Eastern Ontario and the Saint Laurent valley in Canada; or here where I live (most of US except Florida and Hawaii, because they are too much tropical/subtropical, or Minnesota, North/south Dakota, Michigan or Alaska because those are too cold places).
Iceland in the Summer, Canary Islands in the Winter.
