Grimfrost proudly presents Žat Męlti Mķn Móšir (My Mother Told Me) from the album Lärads Grenar. Composed by Einar Selvik and arranged and performed by the Swedish band Hindarfjäll it features Peter Franzén on song. Peter Franzén portrayed King Harald Finehair in the tv-series Vikings. It was Peter, or rather his character Harald Finehair, who sang the song for the first time, popularising and immortalising it.
Here Peter reprises his performance, singing the song in the Old Norse language - just as the poem was originally written by Egil Skallagrķmsson. The video, written and directed by Grimfrost, tries to capture the story of the poem, where a small boy is told by his mother that he too will one day buy a ship with many oars, stand in the stern and head out with Vikings.
