I'll list my Crazy Eight. None are obscure foreign films, but I'm not here to impress people. ;)

.Star Wars
.Braveheart
.Rocky
.The Outlaw Josey Wales
.Sergeant York
.Airplane
.The Haunting (original movie)

Glad someone agrees the original Godfather is the best. Same for A New Hope. I assume Braveheart is for the emotional impact (your inner Pict), not the accuracy. Josey Wales was always one of my parents' favourites, I like the first half of it but the second is a bit too 70s. Will have to give the last 3 a watch/re-watch.
Great film
Loved the film as a kid but it's a subversive film.Quote:
.Star Wars
I think Creoda - as a typical 'muh people' person and so everything is seen through that lens (sort of his people if you drop standards) - would agree it's shite.Quote:
.Braveheart
Retarded wop with a Galician surname. I thought the film was too simple for it to get so much attention.Quote:
.Rocky
Great film. The author of the book wrote George Wallace's speeches.Quote:
.The Outlaw Josey Wales
I saw it as a kid. I don't remember it. I just remember York was portrayed as a yokel. A common stereotype of southerners in films.Quote:
.Sergeant York
Great filmQuote:
.Airplane
I never saw it.Quote:
.The Haunting (original movie)

1. There Will Be Blood
Without question, the greatest film ever made
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeSLPELpMeM
What makes these films great is their ability to reveal the human condition at the highest level (except Night of the Living Dead. It's great because it's the greatest influence on future horror films than any other movie). That's what art is: a reflection of the human condition.
I'll take it. It beats the heck out of my grade in high school geometry class. You could replace "Rocky" with "Cinderella Man" if you think that the former is too corny, although it isn't fair to Max Baer. He actually was a fun and nice guy, and he'll probably be the last heavyweight champion who's a Scots-Irish Jew.
I might swap Night of the Living Dead with the Man Who Wasn't There
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhEWrJNl6b0
I am correct about Night of the Living Dead being the most important influence on future horror films but that doesn't mean it's the greatest 10 films ever.
Yes, I'll switch the two. The Man Who Wasn't There touches too deeply into the human condition for it to be ignored.
really? and what about peter jackson and the first Lord of the rings trilogy? all new zealand made
