Mongolia for sure.
Mongolia
I'd visit Mongolia overall. Because it's safer, even though I'm not big fan of flat landscape. However would avoid Ulaanbaatar, during winter time.
Ulaanbaatar used to have really bad problems with air pollution some years ago (because of smog during winter). I think it is still an issue.
Plus, it's the coldest capital in the world.

A quick search shows that Burkina Faso is not the safest destination for tourists because of a high threat of terrorism, kidnapping and violent crime.
Mongolia for sure. I don't know anything about Burkina Faso and from my brief Google research it doesn't seem too interesting to me. Nothing against them.
Mongolia because the Darliqin Tribes are our presumed origin point.
I think it could be of interest for a certain type of tourists who are into safaris or digging the African traditional lifestyle/ culture.
Kinda the same with Mongolia (except the African tiebelè houses can be replaced with Mongolian yurts and safaris with riding on camels in Gobi desert or horseback riding for e.g.).

Mongolia, I like their culture. It would be great to visit during Tsagaan Sar festival.
Mongolia hands down:
