We moved on. The centre of Europe has never been in the East. It was in Greece and Italy during the Classical Era, in Italy and Byzantium during the early Middle Ages and then moved steadily moved North-West during the Middle Ages to where it is now. And that's where it shall remain. Europe's heart is the axis Paris-Berlin, its political centres are Brussels and Strasbourg, its legal heart is in Luxembourg and its economic heart in Frankfurt.
