You minced my words; Moroccan Jews are a highly diverse population one can actually divide them up into several independent groups that are just now mixing. That 3.7% can represent several communities.
Also recognize the Djerba community a very old Jewish enclave as having Arab and Berber ancestry; the Berber Jews themselves; those who mixed with the expulsed Shephardic; those who are in between those groups etc... All having at times very different dna compositions. Same with Libya and Tunisia populations
I thinks its best to not say what is or is not irrelevant with such a heterogenous community.
