No, i don't think. There are modern authors who have made studies according to which exactly when the Germans were the best of their forces, the war was already lost because of the numbers. The whole of Europe, which was practically under the Germans, produced less than Soviet Union.
The Germans tried in three directions. They failed against Leningrad, Mosca and in the end against Stalingrad. For all was clear that the Germans were at their limits.
WW2. But unlike them, that since WW2 have been in a state of peace, US has been all along in a perpetual state of war, with small nations. Russia, that is less than half of US size, still, is considered an opponent strong enough that only in a cold war can be challenged.
