Uber orderly,, making sure the trains run on time.
Interesting viewpoint...do you have any perspective on how socially conservative/liberal Germans in major cities are, generally-speaking, compared to neighboring countries? Especially from a generational view?
I've never been to Europe, but looking to travel through several central, east and south-Europe countries next year, spending about 2 months in total. I've met more than a few Germans, French, plenty of Brits in my travels elsewhere (Asia-Pac), and where I'm from in the US, people are usually quite polite and modest in public...by generation, though, that seems to change drastically if talking about middle-aged people versus younger (16-40 yrs, perhaps). Younger people in the US can be quite obnoxious and pretentious, so I'm curious as to if big differences can be seen in certain parts of Europe...I take it that countries like France & Italy lean more socialist than Germany, which might be more centrist, relatively-speaking? And then some Eastern Europe countries more culturally conservative?
And maybe culturally conservative and individualistic are not mutually-inclusive?
Generalities, I know :)
Germans are not ugly,, my wife is mostly German American.

Discipline, punctuality, lack of individuality, lack of humour, ingenuity, hard-working and conformity. They are stereotyped also as not being very attractive, rugged-looking, Central European (Alpinid-looking) or Northern European (Nordid-looking).
