Is science the fundamental source of knowledge, yes or no?

Is theology a science? Does it fit in sciential method?
I mean, it depends how do you understand "sources of truth".
Lawyers distinguish three types of sources of law, so I guess the same can be applied to truth:
- sources in material sense (factors influencing what the truth actually is)
- sources in formal sense (forms in which the truth is showing itself to us)
- sources in cognitive sense (books etc. from which you can learn the truth)
The universe around us and forces governing it are the only sources of truth in material sense.
Scientific research can be a source of truth in formal sense, and publications in cognitive sense.
But ultimately these are all just tools of learning about material truth.
