Fixed : Libyans are not part of great maghreb
Of course, Libya is part of greater Maghreb, go tell to a Libyan that, you'll see what he will say
they are ethnic Berbers, show great similarities culturally with us (couscous united power) and many of them speak Tamazight. Check in the internet, geographs locate Libya in Maghreb but they have a very low number of population so people rarely make the connection and I admit they are a bit outsiders in Maghreb because of their strong connections with Egypt as well, you're absolutely right, thats exactly why I put them second ex aequo with Tunisia where Amazigh culture is completely abandoned
Mauritania is not always associated with Maghreb by specialists btw, depends, I see them more between NorthAfricans/Subsaharans culturally speaking
But Morocco the most Arabized Maghrebian country ? You have no clue of what you're talking about khey. Politic alliances these late decades has nothing to do with Arabization, it's not because some Saudis/Qataris go to Morocco to spend their holidays, find Moroccan girls to marry and build few hotels that this country is the most Arabized of Maghreb.
Only someone who never interacted/never has been to Morocco could say such things. There are like 50% if not more Moroccans who speak Tamazight, there are still a lot of people who live in very isolated rural areas in very high moutains where they barely had any interactions with outside.
Their culture and arts : very Berber connected, genetically : the purest and extremely isolated.
Moroccans are the first Maghrebians to recognize their Berber roots when there is still a lot of work in Algeria and Tunisia especially.
Muhammed sixth who claim to be of sherifian backgrounds  just lol. It's trendy to invent sherifian ancestries in Maghreb lately , they think it gives them more privileges and they are not helped with Wahabbis propaganda.
Historically : resisted a long time to invasions (Ottomans never succeed to invade them, only the north of Morocco has been romanized, Arabs were so low there, most Berber/Muslim dynasties came from Morocco) because of their harsh landscapes : Atlas moutains protecting from invasions.
They may try to duplicate khaleejis lately, especially women because some of them like gold digging them but Morocco is certainly the least Arabized Maghrebian country.
Interesting. Would you say that Moroccans are genetically less mixed than Algerians? Why they tend to look darker than average Algerians? I honestly thought that Algeria had the most preserved Berber culture.
I always thought they were the most arabized of North Africans, much more than Egyptians. Their social structure is tribal, like the Arabian bedouins. Think about Gaddafi, who used to sleep under a tent even in the finest luxury hotels. And besides, he often dreamt he was the new pan-Arab leader.
What a autistic thread !!!
"Arab" is not a race it has nothing to do with genetic
Berbers are falsely associated with "fairness". In fact, Berbers are quite various : tuaregs are biracial and they are Berbers.
The differences between Morocco and Algeria is that most Algerians are from northern coasts where people are "naturally" lighter because of Mediterannean landscape/climate + moutains and proximity to Europe.
Moroccans are mostly located in the coasts, where you find inhabitants from the north to the south. And the more you go to the south, closer you are to the Sahara and "darker" ;)
Also, slave trade was more important in Morocco where you find black minorities in most big cities.
Moroccan's darkness is a bit exegarated though.
Berber/Imazighen are also extremely tribal culturally/historically ;)
when was libya part of maghreb ? Libyans were independent amazigh state and they had the most relations with South Europeans and Egypt since the era of the old kingdoms .
I don't need to ask the libyans because already my family are mixed with them ( my cousins from my aunt side are libyans born to libyan father in Zleten area)
those are the leaders of the Libyan tribes (Egyptian drawing since 1300 BC) found in the tomb of pharaoh siti the first

also : The Libu were an Ancient Libyan tribe of an Amazigh origin, from which the name Libya derives.
Their occupation of Ancient Libya is first attested in Egyptian language texts from the New Kingdom, especially from the Ramesside Period. The earliest occurrence is in a Ramesses II inscription. There were no vowels in the Egyptian script. The name Libu is written as LBW or RBW in Egyptian hieroglyphs. In the Great Karnak Inscription Merneptah describes how hostilities between Egypt and Libya broke out and how the Libyans were defeated. Ramesses III defeated the Libyans in the 5th year of his reign, but six years later the Libyans joined the Meshwesh and invaded the western Delta and were defeated again
and about Morocco .. do you know how many Nubians speak the Nubian language in Egypt? does that make egypt less arabized? egypt is over 100 million person some says 150 million also .. plus the egyptians who live outside Egypt.
it's a fact , Moroccan is the second most arabized country in NA and they taking steps , important steps to increase that.
In my case is mostly because of football players since we barely have any North-Africans in Portugal. When I think of Algeria, Zidane, Slimani and Benzema come to my mind. Taraabt and Carcela come to my mind when I think of Morocco, they look much more "African" to be honest.
