Sometimes our subconscious fears are so deep that before we can even think of the word panic, we have panicked already and reacted to an other-dimensional situation as if it was a demonic threat when sleep paralysis experiences generally/usually aren’t despite the terror we may feel at first …
Have had several nightmares featuring werewolves and lions in my childhood the ones with lions even
occasionally as an adult and sleep paralysis without demons but no real sleep paralysis like the one you were describing.
In the case where i had sleep paralysis i'd sometimes have a nightmare first and after wake up being paralyzed for a short time
but no shadow or demon appearance when i was woke.
I noticed that sleep paralysis occured to me mostly when i laid in a bad or uncomfortable position and when i had mental issues the day
before like sadness,anger or worries.
I made this thread because I know people have problems with this. The answer is not to fear demons, but to deal with them and their created scenarios with authority in the name of Jesus -- which is the name above all names. That is why demons flee in terror when rebuked in the name of Jesus. So many people know this, and have been helped through the deliverance ministry.
Jesus loves you too Aila -- he loves us all, and he wants you to know him.
Next time it happens, rebuke the demon in the name of Jesus. You will see what power there is in the name of Jesus, and perhaps afterwards not be so atheist anymore :)
Even better, you can pray for Jesus's protection every night before you go to sleep, and it might never occur again!
Demons don't scare me.
They should be scared of me.
I've experienced sleep paralysis like a dozen times throughout my life. It's scary and annoying.
I haven't yet, knock on wood... But I do know from others that it's pretty scary. Like, it's something you wouldn't want to experience at all.
This happened a lot to me when i used to be a child.
