Similar but some parts of southwest Wales especially can have some almost Caucasus or Balkan looking people in large numbers

I would say that Welsh people are as pale as the Midlands English though darker skinned people are slightly more common.

Indeed though it would be good to see less obvious examples than that, one could say that some Australian Aborigines are darker than some New Guinea people despite being further away from the equator.

It could also be argued that Yemenis are lighter than Eritreans

Ok so i will post a few examples of ethnic groups that are paler skinned despite lying further south

central Germans tend to be paler skinned than central and northern Poles

His mother looks mainly alpine, similar to my mother but with more berber influenced features, she wouldn't look too foreign in Spain really.

Honestly from my time working at an airport the British women actually were often better looking than the Swedes.
