Where else would I put it? It's about southern Italians and Sicilians.

    Maniots?

I am just curious if it was an intentional omission or if you forgot to include Crete. I ask because a lot of people think they are one of the closest.
I will say that I think you were right that Maniots are darker than Cretans, I searched some and came to the same conclusion.

Surprisingly, Cretans are often western-looking and light. I don't think they're THAT similar to southern Italians/Sicilians.

I voted Cypriots, but I really meant Greek Cypriots. They're darker/woggier than Greece's Greeks. But the darkness/exoticness of them are exaggerated.

Yes, Maniots and Tsakones. ( if Tsakones are really Dorian remnants they are akin to Sicilians)

I almost put Crete, I think it is close... But old and new research keeps showing Cretans as being a somewhat unique population for various reasons, so I didnt include them immediately. That's half intentional and half subconscious.
