So i'm guessing they are only there because they are the best white players but could easily been replaced by other black dudes. That's hilarious.

I also dislike the fact that football clubs rely too much on foreign players, especially out of the respective continent. I miss when football was not too much about money.

They seem to be disproportionately represented among table tennis players. They likely are from São Paulo, but I'm not sure.

Here is another example: the English squad of the last Eurocup; and it is not only because it is more African than England is, but also because it lacks South Asians, Muslims, Jews, Gypsies and other groups which make up the diversity of present England.

But there must be Black people in the poor villages outside Bogota or Medellin, those that say "parcero" (haha) and stuff..

Yes I agree, but maybe there are areas in Ecuador with those percentages of Black people, aren't there?

I visited Colombia last year. Only occasionally do you see a Black face in Bogota. Interestingly, Medellin, despite its reputation for 'Whiteness', actually has more Black people than does Bogota; principally internal migrants from nearby Pacific regions.

Re Ecuador, possibly some coastal regions have such large numbers of Black people, but certainly NOT the country as a whole.

In lots of countries the table tennis players are people of Chinese ancestry or even Chinese players that weren't good enough to play for China in the Olympics and other official competitions, but are much better than the natives. These guys are basically the sports equivalent of mercenaries.

The same also happens with Brazilians and beach volleyball and futsal.

What's the ethnic composition of those teams like? What sport would you say has the most representative ethnic mix in Brazil? In England's case, it'd be either rugby or cricket.
