Iberians and Italians are not so far from each other, northern Italians are bit more lighter than Southern Italians/Sicilians But I say that Iberians are lighter on average.

North Italians are as light as Iberians, but there are parts of the south that are almost homogenously dark (inland and southern Sicily, southern Calabria, etc) and nowhere in Iberia is homogenously dark.

Italy is the second most important European origin of Hispanic Americans after the Spanish for example. According to a gene test I have both origins for example.

What I mean is, if I ask 99% of the people who look like you what they are, they say "I am Spanish"

but you dont see such 'diversity' among the Italians...I reckon, the geographical 'toss up' resulting in Iberia being closer to the eventual New World has alot to do with it

Most of those "Hispanics" 99% of them are actually Afromestizo puerto Ricans from New York who say they are "Spanish" lol anyway a person who is smart should know what is a Spanish and what is not a Spanish. if we go by this then that case I say that Italy is also more "European" 'and "whiter" than England also because you have many blacks who speaks the language of England and have their names.

anyway if you see a Latin American who look like someone from Iberia it's because he is white. and is a white latin American. Hispanic is not a race, nor is Latino. The word Hispanic comes from the word Hispania, which was the ancient name of Spain. Therefore, anyone from Hispania were considered Hispanics. This meant that no one in the Americas were Hispanics at that time....then...enter 1492....Spaniards arrived in the Americas and brought their culture, foodways and language to the Americas, thus "Hispanicizing" the Americas. But People can be stupid, especially those of the United States. and uses the word "Hispanic" to mestizos and mulattos only which is pure ignorance.
