anyway if you see a Latin American who look like someone from Iberia it's because he is white. and is a white latin American. Hispanic is not a race, nor is Latino. The word Hispanic comes from the word Hispania, which was the ancient name of Spain. Therefore, anyone from Hispania were considered Hispanics. This meant that no one in the Americas were Hispanics at that time....then...enter 1492....Spaniards arrived in the Americas and brought their culture, foodways and language to the Americas, thus "Hispanicizing" the Americas. But People can be stupid, especially those of the United States. and uses the word "Hispanic" to mestizos and mulattos only which is pure ignorance.

Iranians even score "Italian" on 23andme. It doesn't mean you have Italian heritage, it's a proxy for something East Med on there that does not fall into "Middle East". You are more likely to have Sephardi in you than Italian.

I said that Iberians and Italians are not so far from each other, in lightness, but like someone here said of course It depends on the region, Nothern Italians are a bit more lighter than Southern Italians/Sicilians on average. This said Iberians are lighter on average.
