    Most of the songs you posted sound Middle-Eastern to me. I don't understand why you're mad, Greeks have interacted with the Middle East since ancient times.

    Because the people who are saying this are either;

    1) Other Balkan groups who also have the same influences in their music, or
    2) Turks who do not realize that Greeks get this kind of music from them.

    Everyone's music is influenced by others whether within the culture or across cultures.

    Well, people need to not be hypocritical about it then. It's funny to see Turks for instance trying to insult Greeks by saying their music sounds Middle Eastern, but they don't want to hear the reason why that is.

    its said that irish folk music [or instruments] and Scottish bag pipes came from the middle east. I am not to sure about this though. Maybe influenced by them or recreated?

    judging that Turkey and Greece are next to each other I am not surprised that it might sounds similar to a degree. Not to mention these nations have shared a lot with one another for good or for bad. The Turks have always admired Europe whether they accept it or not. I personally do not mind them but yes the Ottomans were dicks for what they did. Austria defeated them and then the other European nations rebelled over time. Look at the Moors and its funny in the west because the liberals within our culture try not to teach that part of history to not offend Islam but its the truth. They were the aggressors in that conflict. Crusades occurred after not that I agree with them but it seems the libtards were I live only mention the crusades in school so to turn the students into self hating white liberals. But the truth can be exposed should one search for knowledge elsewhere....the mind after all is a fortress left unguarded.

    Sorry, I'm not familiar with Irish and Scottish folk music. However bagpipe-like instruments exist in other parts of the world.
