I do not disagree about the serious problems that low IQ causes only disagree with the popular belief of iq as an identifier expert for high intelligence.
The first function of the tests when they were created, was precisely identify deficits in intelligence, but when we speak of high intelligence, we are dealing with wide range of cognitive styles, from high IQS as Vos Savant miss until the carriers own the syndrome of same name, note, 200 to 50 (mean).
What Mensa eg does is stupid, assuming that there is some deep pit of intelligence among those with IQ above 130 and those with IQ below this value.
