People should know what the names they give to their kids actually mean. The fact they come from a different language is no excuse. Would you call your daughter Little Blind or Ewe? And yet the world is full with Cecilias and Rachels... :icon_cool:

One of my children has a name which is one of the most common in Europe with derivatives in many languages. A name of many kings, emperors and popes.
My other child has a name from Old Norse that I like the meaning of.

I could not possibly agree more.
I don't know which kind of names I dislike more, ghetto black names like: D'Shaun, Javon, Shaquiqui and LaShawnna or Yuppie white people names such as either borderline stripper/pornstar names like "Indigo Marie" and "Aurora Rose", the new trend of giving them surnames as given names like "Anderson Walker" and "Vaughn Murphy", or these completely made up ones like "Ryker" and "Cortlyn".
