Random cultural things about yourself!

So yeah I wanted to make a thread about random things we do that connects us to our ancestral cultures or like cultures you are interested in!

Let me start!

-I am extracting the dye of lichens to get the color red/pink used in Scotland for kilts
-I eat and make Clabber nearly every day
-Making elderberry wine for the Spring Equinox
-Getting ready to gather rosehips for nyponsoppa!

So like the last isn't exactly my ancestry but other than having Norman Scots heritage Swedes were the first truly "foriegn" group I was aware of through my cousin marrying a guy from there.

Japanese/Filipino/Hawaiian/Mexican etc.. Were "normal" for me and Sweden/Scandanavia seemed like such a quaint and exotic little place.

Okay hopefully, this won't die!

But like do you do anything that is realated to a culture you derive from; like traditions that may have dwindled?

not traditons that have twindled but i do ethnic asian stuff, and i derrive from asians, that was my point

Hmm, fado is beautiful to me, I eat chouriço for breakfast fairly often (and named my genitalia after it, it's a spicy Portuguese sausage), I'm going to learn Portuguese/get citizenship/live in Portugal at some point, and I love wine. I imagine this list is going to increase sharply in the years to come.
