My grandmother taught me how to make migas and all kinds of paella. I make those on special occasions esp. for my father (like on his bday). Also, my father and his family have been olive and almond ranchers and farmers for hundreds of years. I too learned how to ranch and farm the same crops as my family from southern spain. I was taught more about Spanish culture from my grandmother, father and aunts but I feel more of a connection to northern European culture and traditions, but my mothers side have been in the US for such a long time that they do not know much about their heritage.

I love listening to folk music especially Irish, Spanish, Norwegian, and Russian.
I wear a lot of scandinavian style sweaters and celtic knotwork.
I like to braid my hair in traditonal ways (German and Dutch ways I like a lot and are easy for me).
