Hunstman Spider. The spider is living in warm climate hunting down other spiders. Their bites are harmless to humans.

Yes. I know these all too well. They are very common here and they like to live in people's houses - including mine. They survive when you suck them up with the vacuum cleaner - they just unfold when you empty the bag and keep on going. Very hardy.
And they screech. Yes, they actually make high-pitched screaming sounds. They somehow vibrate their abdomens against whatever they are sitting on and it makes a screeching sound. That is how they attract mates or react when you disturb them. Sometimes when you go outside at night and it's spider season, you can hear the screeching around you. It's a very, very creepy sound.

You know, I don't like spiders, but I don't hate them either. My father loves them, he has had tarantulas as pets before...
I have some sort of fobia for roaches and moths though, ewrgh!

Australians like this particular spider. People don't hurt or kill them. Some even call them pets. Huntsmen have have long legs running away from you fast. The spider hunts other spiders. That's probably how the spider got its name. Huntsmen visit peoples' houses and cars. They can be nuisance inside the car, as you are driving and it runs across the front window.
But I didn't know they are making screeching sounds.
