1. In Northern Chile lives 6% of the Chilean population, as I said. The rest of the 94% lives in the yellow and green places which have a similar climate to Europe
2. You're referring to the Argentinian Patagonia. The Chilean Patagonia is full of fjords, rivers, lakes, rain, snow, etc. It's not a desert.

Chile, Peru, Regions of Argentina and Brazil.
I would describe the weather in the most parts of Peru to that of Switzerland, Germany and Poland.

Sure, it is impossible to live in a desert, that's why so few people live there, but still that area is part of Chile, it covers a good portion of it, and its climate is similar to that of a desertic area in Namibia/South Africa and the area near the Gobi desert in China as well as Central Asia. It has no counterpart in Europe! Look at the Köppen-Geiger map again closely:

Man, whilst you're a nice person, you must stop putting the same images and writing the same stuff in all of your posts.
I already saw the map closely, and I already read it's an area similar to Namibia or the Gobi, so I would be really pleased if you stopped posting it.

First, you said it covered a "large" part of Chile. It's not a large part, it's a minority area.
Secondly, the thread question is "what Latin American countries have a similar climate to Europe?".
Answer: most of Chile, part of Argentina.
Am I saying all of Chile have a similar climate to Europe? No, man, I am not. I am saying most of Chile has, which is true.

You have not even answered the question of the thread.
All your participation has been to say that Chile and Argentina have deserts.
So I ask you, what's your ANSWER TO THE THREAD?
Thank you very much.

Deserts do cover a good portion of Chile and Argentina, and these two countries have significant parts with desertic like climatic conditions. The answer to the thread would be: no country in South America, speaking of the country as a whole, has a climate similar to that of European countries. I would say that the correct answer would be that only a part of Chile does have a climate similar to that found in Europe, and so does a part of Argentina.
Elsewhere in South America, the climate is different from the ones found in Europe.
