The 'looks like a Qaba' argument is not valid for a reason already alluded to by Arawn. The Islamic symbolism of the Qaba is similar to the Christian symbolism of the Heavenly Jerusalem, not just in outer form but also in meaning.
My opinion? I think it is hideous.
And it is a typical case of profane art and architecture, aided by supposedly Christian institutions, imposing itself on the Church.

It's a brave new church for a brave new world.
What an eyesore.

Buildings that ugly shouldn't exist- it's like a it's the product of a bizzaro world Frank Lloyd Wright. Problem solved: Paint it black, put some Muslims in it and then have one of these make a house call.

Because it is being announced that this great architect N.N. made this fantastic building. In tradition, the artisan is anonymous, and the making of any piece of art playing any role in the Church is carried out in the form of an initiation, a sacred and ritual undertaking.

That church doesn't inspire any feelings of reverence in me. It's just an ugly building that looks like a giant cardboard box.
