Here I am – blunt chauvinist and racist but kind-hearted one. Also I am a Belarusian Grammar Nazi, but it’s irrelevant since there are no Belarusian speakers on this forum.

I registered because the forum wouldn’t let me to lurk anymore without registration. I have been not too active on the internet recently and still have too little time for it. I have an account on Stirpes and used to have one on Skadi before it turned into Germanic-only forum (I managed to write only several posts).

Good to have a Belorussian aboard, not that many of you seen on the net. About the Ruthenians, I always wondered what happened to them, they used to be one of the major ethnic groups in the old Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Well since with any good thing from Austria-Hungary, the ruthenian culture also have decayed, since the czechslovak and followed by the ukrainian governments have restricted the cultural rights of the ruthenians from Subcarpathia (Ruthenia). They share the same sorrow destiny as my hungarian brothers in Subcarpathia, where even if both nationalities are the oldest populations there, the ukrainians restrict many of the cultural life of these two, and the assimilation is very strong, especially among ruthenians, who because they are also a slavic populace as ukrainians, they adopt more rapidly the ukrainian identity. There was a great scene of ruthenian behavior and culture in the opening part of the great movie "The deer hunter".
