NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Day issued a statement saying the substance Backstrom tested positive for is not on the league's list of banned substances.
"We do not anticipate there being any consequences relative to Nicklas' eligibility," Daly said.

Calm your tits, little brother. Finland didn't lose against Sweden because one player tested positive for Pseduofedrin which gives nowhere near enough physical advantages to be worth taking as doping.
Either Bäckström is telling the truth that it's from his allergy medication (which he does take) or he is completely retarded for risking being caught using a substance which is pretty much useless and gives him nearly no advantage in his sport.
I also agree with Swedish manager Tommy Bousted that the IOC likely knew that Bäckstrom tested positive sooner but delayed telling anyone because they wanted to wait until just before the finals to get more media attention, which obviously also psyched out and demotivated the Swedish hockey team before the final. <-Note: I'm not saying Canada wouldn't have won anyway, they definitely deserved their gold.

Yes, one player tested positive.
Pseudoefedrin is serious boost for oxygen intake. Olympic gold medalists have been stripped off medals for using it.

Ofcource he is lying. Like the doctor of Swedish team aswell. There is no way you could get that much stuff in your system by just eating one Zyrtec pill. He must have taken "raw" Pseudoefedrin, which you can buy from any farmacy at U.S.Either Bäckström is telling the truth that it's from his allergy medication (which he does take) or he is completely retarded for risking being caught using a substance which is pretty much useless and gives him nearly no advantage in his sport.
Team Sweden should have been disqualified already earlier, I do agree with that. It take way too long time for IOC to act. There is no room for cheaters at Olympics.I also agree with Swedish manager Tommy Bousted that the IOC likely knew that Bäckstrom tested positive sooner but delayed telling anyone because they wanted to wait until just before the finals to get more media attention, which obviously also psyched out and demotivated the Swedish hockey team. <-Note: I'm not saying Canada wouldn't have won anyway, they deserved their gold, but it definitely had an effect on the game.

Yes, and that is what matters. It's 'Innocent until proven guilty' not the other way around. You have no more reason suspecting any of the Swedish players than anyone else whatsoever.
Serious boost is an exaggeration, it doesn't have a very big effect even taken in large amounts. It's not even on the NHL's list of banned substances and wasn't on Wadas list until 2010, despite them having knowledge about it earlier.Pseudoefedrin is serious boost for oxygen intake. Well if that's the case it seems that it's the latter reason, he's just ignorant. Someone with knowledge about the substance would not risk using it nor would any corrupt doctor or coach recommend it. If he did take it willingly it's because of some bro-science he heard in a locker room.Ofcource he is lying. Like the doctor of Swedish team aswell. If you believe the whole team should be disqualified because of the wrongings of one player, a wronging that didn't even have any considerable effect on the game, you're just stupid.Team Sweden should have been disqualified already earlier, I do agree with that. Team doctor has now admitted that 4-5 other players were also doped!

Disqualify Sweden now!
Jari Kurri (five times Stanley Cup champion, hockey hall of fame member) said that when he was playing in NHL, everyone was using Pseudoefedrine because it was great. It gave major boost before the game. I think I believe Jari Kurri in this case rather than you. The Dope was taken off from Wada's list briefly for only few years, and returned back to that list in 2010 as it clearly adds performance, it's doping.Serious boost is an exaggeration, it doesn't have a very big effect even taken in large amounts. Pseudoephedrine is a long time dope in NHL, which all NHL players are aware off. So is team doctor of Sweden. Team doc has now admitted that 4 or 5 other players from Team Sweden could have been caught as well.Well if that's the case it seems that it's the latter reason, he's just ignorant. Someone with knowledge about the substance would not risk using it nor would any corrupt doctor or coach recommend it. A similar scene is being played out in dressing rooms throughout the NHL. The exact number of players who use Sudafed, a nonprescription drug that contains the stimulant pseudoephedrine, in an effort to boost their performance on the ice, is unclear. Two NHL trainers estimate that before a game 20% of the league's players routinely take over-the-counter medications that contain pseudoephedrine, not to combat the sniffles, as the manufacturers intended, but to feel a little buzz.
