when Collin Farrell played ALexander the Great he had dyed,blonde hair even though the depictions I have seen of Alexander clearly show Mediterranean traits.

regardless of his hair color, I seriously doubt Alexander the great looked like a typical NW European..

I recall see reruns of 1960's or 1970's television series where a black guy was cast as Kowalski. I was young when I saw this and was sort of shocked at the time. I wish I could recall the name of the show.

Just before Christmas , here in America, there was a live T.V. broadcast of a stage version of "the Sound of Music" with Carrie Underwood......but of course they had a Black woman playing the mother superior.

And I think Laurence Fishburn even played "Othello" in one movie version. I know Othello was a Moor but I seriously doubt most Moors actually looked like sub-Saharan Africans........ more like typical North Africans in reality.
