I call my mother on the phone 3 times a week, i listen tentitively, making sure she tells me everything that is happening in her life, Mrs Germanicus spends around 10 minutes talking to her mother, i spend at least 30/45 mins.

...my mom calls me once a week, we talk for 20 - 40 minutes depending upon the news flow. She calls, because my brother has her on his plan, which he gets through his employer at a tremendously good price and has unlimited long distance during the evening and on weekends. She's worried that me calling is too expensive.

Mrs Germanicus and i both have red LG Viewty Mobile phones, we are connected all day for calls or texts to each other.
We also have a landline phone in the house, this is used specifically for calling our mothers, mine lives 5 miles away across town, mrs Germanicus's mother lives in West Yorkshire, over 250 miles away.
