Proto-Indo-European is not a real language, it is an attempted reconstruction of a theorized language, of which there is absolutely no evidence except for comparative linguistics. I'm not denying the concept of a language family and language evolution (although I do not believe all languages evolved from the original tongue), but people need to keep in mind that it is a very fragile subject and people need not take it so seriously; especially overly generalized groups like "Indo-European", "Afroasiatic", "Uralo-Altaic", etc.

You mean this language doesn't have a continued tradition of being spoken anywhere?

Usually there was probably nothing similar to proto indo european, either. Usually languages start off complicated, then get simplified over time NOT the other way around.

So it could well have been any ancestor of any living indo european language, or some other language that's seemingly a lot different than than any known IE language.
Out Of Africa Theory is a lie.

And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
