Should Flanders join the Netherlands?

It always makes me angry reading about Belgian history. Most of Flanders didn't even want to be part of Belgium (despite the fact that a lot of the upper class spoke French) but the French sent in an army to force them to join. And Britain supported the creation of this fucking apartheid state that oppressed the Flemish. So soon after the Napoleonic wars they let the French rampage through Flanders. And then when Germany invades in WW1 Britain acts act all self righteous, Belgium is a fucking abomination it deserved to be destroyed heck most of the Flemish liked the Germans better then the Walloons. Damn I wish the Netherlands had joined the war it might have made the crucial difference at the early stage and they might have got Flanders as a result. Also it would have been revenge for the Boer War, Britain actually took the cape colony from the Dutch while they were occupied by Napoleon and then gave them Belgium instead after the war. But then they supported Belgium separating so basically Britain took the Cape and gave the Dutch fuck all and then oppressed the Dutch living in the colony
Britain also reneged on its commitment to defend Cyprus from the Turks. Britain's symbol should not be lion it should be a fox or weasel at least those are native to Britain and it would suit them more.

I know some in Flanders would now support independence but not joining the Netherlands but I think the larger population of a merger would be beneficial. Perhaps they could have a federal model.

Either way as far as I know, they don't want to join the Netherlands, they want an independent state for Flemish people.

It's an uphill task for them. The Flemish don't feel Belgian and don't think of themselves as Belgians. They are very ethnocentric - and for this reason it might be good for the Dutch political landscape if they joined the Netherlands. They have the same language and history, so why not? However, the Eurocrats will never allow this to happen and the "Vlaams Blok" has been forcibly marginalized.

I totally understand not feeling "Belgian" as Belgian is basically a made up nationality. That's why I support Flemish independence. If they wanted to join the Netherlands I would say, good for them.
