Indeed, but they are exposed to the west a lot via the internet and their media. Websites like 4chan provide means for westerners and the Japanese to communicate, and I'm under the impression that a lot of WNs go on there. Mostly weeaboos + wannabe westerners + pervs though. Cross-sympathy between European and Japanese aspirations, as well as mutual respect, fostered the alliance during WWII and sentiments are still there.
