Then why the fashion for tanning in Northern Europe then? In fact, although not a majority of actors, I see MORE olive-skinned men and women in British soap operas than in real life.

The more caucasian ones are basically just white. The Caucasian mixed with east asian looking ones can be very attractive too.

Only their light skin resembles whiteness, not their features. Caucasians in my opinion do not have many features Indians have, i.e. larger round eyes, big lips, larger nose and so on. Light skinned Indians resemble middle easterns more than anything.
